CASE SUMMARY

More than 116,000 families in Toronto cannot afford a place to live. With “The #Unignorable Tower,” the United Way aimed to put that number into perspective. So Taxi created an augmented reality tower that was tall enough to house all the families in need. Standing at 1,478 metres and housing 116,000 units, the tower was by far the world’s tallest building. To further educate users, the app included stats and personal stories aimed at educationing residents about the scale of the problem and encouraging them to donate. The effort earned more than 141 million impressions.
